Peace. I’m Mi-shael Taylor, LCSW
I’m from Grand Rapids, MI and reside in Detroit, MI. Since I was a kid, I had a mission to create and I’ve always connected deeply with others. I came up with Holistic Hues, while sitting and journaling on my living room floor. I dedicate my work, to uplifiting our most marginalized people, to remind them of our worthiness of joy, healing, wellness and connection. Holistic Hues isn’t a traditional therapy practice—it’s a reflection of what I believe in and what our community has been owed. We deserve to experience full healthy lives, to be present and connected to ourselves and others. This work is led by a shared commitment to quality care for Black, Brown, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+ people.
My Approach
What began as a passionate journaling session has evolved into something much more. What sets Holistic Hues apart isn’t just my ideas, training and expertise—it’s the intention behind it. Since I started my career in mental health and wellness, I knew that I wanted my services to exceed the office or the couch. I knew that I wanted to help people access greater care and improve their overall well-being and interconnectedness. Here we are.
Simple ideas

Lasting impact
I must acknowledge the shoulders that I stand on, that have gotten me here. Thank you to my family, friends and ancestors. I’m excited to see where this jounrey takes us.
